Title Here

Melina began her career as a model. She won a Miss California beauty contest and also modeled athletic wear for Nike. She decided to become a professional wrestler after talking to Empire Wrestling Federation (EWF) superstar Mike Henderson in 2000. Perez started training at Jesse Hernandez's School of Hard Knocks in San Bernardino, California and made her professional debut in April 2002. Many EWF officials stated that she had the most natural ability of any woman who came through their school. In late 2002 Perez auditioned for World Wrestling Entertainment's reality show Tough Enough III, making it through to the final twenty-one before being eliminated from the competition in the final cut of the first episode. After she was eliminated from the contest, trainer Al Snow pulled Perez aside and encouraged her to keep trying to pursue her dream as a wrestler.

Melina, Eve, and Gail are shown backstage walking to the ring for a 6 Divas tag team match! Before the match they show a recap from SummerSlam from where Lay-Cool attacked her. Melinas team makes their way to the ring and their opponents will be Maryse, Jillian, and Alicia Fox. Gail Kim and Maryse start the match. Maryse is hung upside down on the turnbuckle and Gil tags in Melina, they excute a tag team move on her. Maryse tags in A Fox who gets some moves on Melina and puts her in a headlock. Melina and A Fox both make tags. Jillian is about to lose to Eve but Alicia breaks the pin, Melina with a clothsline to Alicia and Gail takes out Maryse. Eve hits a kick to the head, climbs up the turnbuckle but Jillian throws her down and gets the three count.
I’m going to touch base on a lot of things in this blog. I just know there is a lot of pressure on so many levels and a lot of emotions going into Summer Slam this sunday. I have been sidelined for SO long yet this is all happening so fast. But I am thankful it is all happening the way it is because Summer Slam is in Los Angeles and I will have my family there. Not all of the them have been to a live event and to have it be Summer Slam AND a Title Match…. It’s unreal and utterly perfect. Win or Lose, I have accomplished so much. That is something no one can take away from me and I can’t lose.
Now talking about the title. Any title is an honor and a privilege. A victory of what you have accomplished and what you have gone through in life. I have fought through so much on this road. I still kept on the path because I knew in my heart what I was capable of, what my heart loved and what I was eager to be better at. The championship is a symbol that I was worthy, that I had a purpose. It was a reward for all that I have been through and sacrificed. When I think of all the people who said it couldn’t be done and wanted to see me fail. I know I have said all this before and how holding it gives you flashes of all the greats who have held it before you. It is a symbol of respect, dedication, perseverance and sacrifice. Perhaps not all people win the title for those reasons but the ones who last, the ones who keep fighting for it, do. Even when great champions lose the title….. everything the title represents still stands true; and is always worth fighting for.

As Alicia Fox is quick to remind the WWE Universe week after week, no Diva on the Raw roster has been able to pry the Divas Championship from her icy grip. However, Alicia’s unflinching self-confidence took a major hit when Melina made her long-awaited WWE return to challenge the devious Diva for her title at SummerSlam.
A three-time Women’s Champion, Melina captured the Divas Championship for the first time last October, but it was a leg injury – not one of her fellow Divas – that would separate the Latina lovely from the butterfly-embossed title. The Divas Title has changed hands three times, adorning the waists and shoulders of Maryse and Eve before it was snatched up by Alicia at Fatal 4-Way.
Ever since that fateful night, the foxy Floridian has not only been vocal about her in-ring dominance, but she’s proven it too, laying waste to virtually every Diva on the Raw roster. Of course, Alicia has resorted to some underhanded tactics to get the better of her opponents – including feigning injuries to catch other Divas off guard – but she’d just call that sound strategy.
As a fully healed Melina storms her way back to WWE with Alicia in her crosshairs, the WWE Universe is in for a dynamic duel of the Divas at the season’s most explosive bash. Will Melina make a stellar comeback from her injury, or will she find herself outfoxed by the treacherous Divas Champion? Find out by tuning in to SummerSlam, Aug. 15, only on pay-per-view.
the in ring return of…MELINA!
Melina was featured in the Photos of the Week section over at WWE.com as you can see from above the photo she was in was taken on the night she returned to the ring and took out Alicia Fox.

I’m back and it is an unbelievable feeling!!!!! I have so much love, appreciation and gratitude for everything… Everyone. I’m always going to take in every single moment I can and treasure this all.
I originally wanted to tell all of you that I didn’t want to say much. I can say and write all the words I want…. say how I’m getting the title back and how I’m going to show the world what wrestling means to me. All of it is true and I love telling all of you what is in my heart, but I rather show you. I am NOT going to be all talk. I am going to go out there and give you everything I can. To create magic and to keep improving.
This has been a crazy journey for me. I look back and am amazed at all the stuff I have been through to get to this point. The negativity, the rejection, the jealousy and the ridicule. I was told I wouldn’t make it and I was never going to be a decent wrestler. Whether I am or not is a matter of opinion I suppose but the fact is I have reached this point against all odds.
