Melina began her career as a model. She won a Miss California beauty contest and also modeled athletic wear for Nike. She decided to become a professional wrestler after talking to Empire Wrestling Federation (EWF) superstar Mike Henderson in 2000. Perez started training at Jesse Hernandez's School of Hard Knocks in San Bernardino, California and made her professional debut in April 2002. Many EWF officials stated that she had the most natural ability of any woman who came through their school. In late 2002 Perez auditioned for World Wrestling Entertainment's reality show Tough Enough III, making it through to the final twenty-one before being eliminated from the competition in the final cut of the first episode. After she was eliminated from the contest, trainer Al Snow pulled Perez aside and encouraged her to keep trying to pursue her dream as a wrestler.

The match is seculaded for one fall and it is for the Divas Championship Belt, Melinas music comes on and the crowd is going crazy, and woa some kid just passed out after seing Melina’s split! okay done with the jokes but i think i really am gonna pass out lolz cant wait! Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart had somethings to say about current Divas Champion Melina in a recent interview.

Found all around the net and figured i’d post what i found.
Okay so WWE RAW is coming to Charlottsville, VA and well i couldn’t pass on this opportunity especially as soon as I saw the match card. I saw Melina vs Alicia Fox for her title belt and she better not lose it LOLZ, so i ordered my ticket online and got the print a ticket thing. So about 3 mins. later got the email and printed out my ticket, so today at work I saw a guy come in which a VA event shirt so i asked if he worked at the same arena and he said yes, i showed him the email and found out im in 5th row, did i say 5th row yet? So i go this sunday so be sure to check the site on Monday cause I will have candids. BTW did i say 5th row lolz

Forget everything you learned about Thanksgiving in elementary school. On Raw, the Pilgrims and Native Americans didn’t sit down to a fall feast. Instead, they dressed in sexy outfits and tried to tear each other apart in a Thanksgiving Mayflower Melee Match. Clad in Native American apparel, Divas Champion Melina, Mickie James & Kelly Kelly fought Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, Layla & Jillian. To complete the Thanksgiving theme, the Goobledy Gooker even served as timekeeper.
Once the match got underway, Team Native American was able to best Team Pilgrim when Melina managed to pin Jillian. Always eager to speak with Divas, Jerry “The King” Lawler entered the ring for an interview with the beautiful Latina. And that’s when things took a turn for the weird. The Gobbledy Gooker attacked the Divas Champion from behind. Moments later, it was revealed that the turkey costume was actually stuffed with Maryse!
Mickie James, on one hand, escaped the Verizon Center a searing survivor. The smart, sexy and powerful Diva, on the other hand, left yearning for further retribution.
Captain James, along with her partner and Divas Champion Melina, prevailed in Sunday’s Divas Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match despite Beth Phoenix not accepting her elimination. The Glamazon assaulted Mickie before the official finally forced her to exit.
In the preceding weeks, Beth, along with Layla and team captain and Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, affronted James with vicious insults. The devious trio, in fact, labeled her a “pig,” causing the former four-time Women’s Champ to cry on SmackDown.
Despite it being a bittersweet triumph for the two awesome in-ring performers, Mickie and The Red Carpet Diva demonstrated why they are each top-ranked Divas.
Melina, for one, showed how versatile she can be when she pulled off an incredibly acrobatic sunset flip on Michelle to conclude the match. Mickie, meanwhile, can certainly expect a crack at the Women’s Title at some point soon after her impressive performance, which included eliminating Beth and Alicia.
The two dazzling Divas, nevertheless, will likely employ action against their bullies in the upcoming weeks to get some extra desired revenge.
Judah Friedlander never had it so good. The 30 Rock actor and comedian was honored as special guest ring announcer for the match between Divas Champion Melina and Alicia Fox. Friedlander announced that the bout would be a Divas Championship Lumberjill Match then happily looked on from ringside.
While Fox has showcased amazing resilience in recent weeks, Melina’s gutsy performance proved too much as the Latina lovely retained the golden butterfly. As she beat Alicia with the Last Call for the three count. Apparently, a few of the Divas disapproved and the entire ring was covered with sexy, smart and powerful women clashing with one another.You go Melina!
